At Tow Pro, we understand that it is not an ideal situation when your vehicle has been impounded. Commonly Asked Impound Questions

A: You will need:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport).

  • Proof of ownership (vehicle registration or title  – must not be expired ).

  • Proof of insurance.

  • Payment for towing, storage, and any related fees (we accept cash and credit card).

If your insurance company is paying for the impound release you will need to fill out the following impound release form. We recommend that you download and fill out the form ahead of time to ensure the smoothest pick up process. 

A: Yes, but they will usually need:

  • Written, signed and notarized authorization from the vehicle’s owner.

  • A copy of the owner’s photo ID.

  • Their own valid photo ID.

  • All required documents listed above.
