Light-Duty Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated light-duty driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and exceptional customer service skills. As a light duty driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing roadside assistance, and ensuring customer satisfaction during every interaction. Your ability to handle various automotive situations with professionalism and efficiency will be crucial to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow vehicles, to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed on-site.
- Load and unload vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle issues and the towing process.
- Manage conflicts with professionalism, ensuring a positive experience for customers even in stressful situations.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle condition upon pickup and drop-off.
- Ensure the tow truck is in good working condition through regular maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while driving the tow truck.
Experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience in conflict management and customer service is highly desirable.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment may be beneficial.
