Mechanic


Position Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. This person will inspect, diagnose, and repair light-, medium-, and heavy-duty tow trucks and support vehicles. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks and equipment (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, etc.)

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles meet DOT safety standards

  • Keep accurate maintenance records and communicate repair needs to management

  • Order and manage parts and supplies as needed

  • Respond to emergency repair needs when trucks are down or stranded

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic (towing or trucking experience a plus)

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and hydraulic systems

  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and follow repair manuals

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)

  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

The Heavy Duty Driver will be driving a Heavy-Duty Rotator, Rollback, and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of more than 26,000 lbs. and must possess a valid CDL driver’s license relative to the vehicle being operated and towed combination.
